Institute of Public Health & Hygiene proudly celebrated International Nurses Day on 12th May 2026 at its Mahipalpur campus with great enthusiasm and dedication. Organized by the Department of Nursing, the event brought together GNM and ANM students, faculty members, and healthcare educators to honour the valuable contribution of nurses in society and healthcare services.
The celebration began with a traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony, paying tribute to Florence Nightingale and recognizing her lasting contribution to the nursing profession. The ceremony created an atmosphere of respect and inspiration among students and faculty members.
One of the key highlights of the program was an inspiring speech delivered by Aanchal, a GNM 3rd Year student, who spoke about the evolving role of nurses in modern healthcare systems. Her message encouraged students to continue serving humanity with compassion, dedication, and professionalism.
Students actively participated in poster presentations and health awareness activities focused on patient care, hygiene, preventive healthcare, and community well-being. These creative activities reflected the knowledge, confidence, and social responsibility of future healthcare professionals trained at IPHH Delhi.
As part of the community outreach initiative, sanitary pads were distributed and awareness sessions were conducted to promote women’s health and hygiene. The initiative highlighted the commitment of IPHH towards healthcare awareness and community service.
The event also included the distribution of certificates of appreciation to students for their active participation and dedication. The celebration concluded with cake cutting and refreshments, creating memorable moments for everyone present.
The International Nurses Day 2026 celebration at IPHH once again reflected the institute’s mission of nurturing compassionate, skilled, and socially responsible healthcare professionals dedicated to serving society with care and commitment.
