All India Survey of Higher Education – AISHE: Higher education is of vital importance for the country, as it is a powerful tool to build knowledge based society of the 21st Century .To portray the status of higher education in the country, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has initiated a web based Survey namely All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) since 2010-11. With an aim to identify & capture all the Institutions of higher learning in the country and various aspects of higher education. Data is collected on several parameters such as Institutions’ basic details, teacher’s details, programme conducted under various Departments, student enrolment, examination results, financial information under various heads, availability of infrastructure, scholarship, loans and Accreditation
