IPHH proudly observed World AIDS Day 2025 with a comprehensive awareness programme organised by the School of Nursing, reaffirming its commitment to public health education, compassion, and social responsibility. The event aimed to spread accurate knowledge about HIV/AIDS, challenge misconceptions, and promote empathy towards people living with HIV.
The programme featured an informative health talk by GNM 2nd Year students, which focused on the fundamentals of HIV/AIDS, modes of transmission, prevention strategies, and the importance of early testing and treatment. The session actively addressed common myths and misconceptions, encouraging open dialogue and awareness among participants.
This was followed by an engaging seminar conducted by GNM 3rd Year students, centred on HIV-related stigma and social discrimination. The discussion highlighted the emotional and societal challenges faced by individuals living with HIV and emphasised the crucial role of healthcare professionals in fostering dignity, inclusion, and patient-centred care.
The enthusiastic participation of students and faculty made the programme interactive and impactful. Through meaningful discussions and shared learning, the event successfully reinforced the message of “Awareness, Acceptance, and Action”, strengthening IPHH’s mission to build a healthier, informed, and compassionate society.
